This router is a breeze to set up and works great. You plug it in and it works. I am somewhat at a loss to understand all the negative reviews of this router. It is forgiving of about every sin you can imagine.
It's what we needed for our system and was not available at local stores. Product is functioning wonderfully. Thanks Amazon.
Shortly after I open a port for forwarding traffic, the router locks up and I have to reset it. The price for this average router should be from $50 to $70. This router works good if all you want is an Internet connection for casual surfing. This is a low end router.
Linksys has been selling good quality products but I am disappointed about the WRT350N. In this case, I do not recommend it to anyone. Not sure if it is sure but that's what the email said. But I am not so excited about getting the WRT600N either. never able to get to the http admin home page.Luckily, it has 3 years warranty, instead of getting a refurbished one of the same model, Linksys is sending me a refurbished WRT600N which suppose to me more expensive than the WRT350N. My son also complained about me paying so much for this piece of crap when comparing to the SMC router that I owned for more than 4 years.Every now and then I had to reset this router ever after upgrading to the latest firmware. I did not get a better reception than the 4 years old SMC router. After several months, it finally died and I couldn't get it up anymore, i.e. Based on the review from other people, the WRT600N does not seem to be any better.
Very dissapointing. Other than that, all router functions seem to work well, and the user interface is very good. This router has less range than my old Netgear Wireless-G router. Also, the setup wizard on the supplied CD didn't work with Windows XP, and I had to manually configure the router.
